Neon In Salina

Written by on August 28, 2019

Salina Kansas has always had this image of being a small town, but now its so much more with so many new things coming up around the town. For a small example Salina public library is hosting the new Neon exhibit. This is an exhibit is expected to bring a new bright look to Salina, literally!

This exhibit was created by photographer mark Otey and brought a new spark of light to our town of Salina. The exhibit “Neon of Salina” is bringing something different to explore while being here but obviously will only be here for a limited time. The dates that the exhibit will be here is from Aug. 30 to Sep. 27. There will be a reception for the artist 4-5:30 Sep. 6, in conjunction with First Friday Night Live.

The “Neon of Salina” is fascinating as to why and what brought this amazing idea of the piece of art. The town of Salina is older and has many different unique characteristics to the town and has some developing aspects to it as well. The neon lights and ideas of this exhibit was created by the different lights and life from Salina and has the idea of an older to newer look.
