KWU’s Got Chemistry
Written by Bryce Boyd on October 14, 2019
While homecoming weekends are usually associated with football games, alumni events and parties, there’s another event planned for this weekend that is more for those with a scientific pursuit in mind. It is the opportunity for alumni, parents and students alike to take a look at the newly renovated Pollack Chemistry Lab in Peters Science Hall.
The renovation on the Pollack Chemistry Lab is the third total renovation that one of KWU’s science labs has seen recently, with improvements in the appearance of the room and especially the updated lab equipment will help students for years to come. Science is different then other subjects when it comes to teaching, as having outdated equipment or other learning materials can be a hindrance to those trying to learn it, which is why having state-of-the-art and updated labs is an important thing for any university to have.
Now, with the new Pollack Chemistry Lab, KWU students will be able to study and practice chemistry with new, better equipment in a brand new lab for the foreseeable future. During this weekends homecoming events, be sure to partake in the tour of the campus on Saturday to see the open house for the lab, and take a look at what the future or collegiate chemistry has to offer.
