There is a new home for a locally-owned pizza restaurant in Salina! Coops Pizzeria relocated from their former home in downtown Salina to a new-to-them space near Crawford and Ohio.
Coops offers salads, sandwiches, pasta, chicken wings, appetizers, and hearth baked specialty pizzas. You can also customize your own pizza including the crust, sauce, and toppings. They even have a gluten free option for those who are gluten sensitive. Coops offers take out and delivery or you can dine-in. They are also available on apps like EatStreet and DoorDash. Coop’s prices are reasonable for a local pizza restaurant. They offer 10 inch pizzas starting at $10.99. Their largest pizza, which is 18 inches, starts at $23.99. You can also add additional toppings for a dollar.
One of my favorite features is that they offer a thin crust option to any of their pizzas, which is one of my favorites. They have classic options like The Supreme Being, which is basically a supreme pizza, or The Meatarian, which is similar to a meat-lovers pizza.
They also offer pasta’s like Chicken Alfredo and Manicotti for those who aren’t in a pizza mood. Their salads include a greek salad and side salad, for those who want a lighter option. They also have a good variety of chicken wing flavors like BBQ, Mild, Jamaican Jerk, Hot, Reaper, Garlic Parmesan, and Sweet and Tangy. Wing prices start at $12 for 12 wings and go up to 48 wings for $29.99, which is actually a pretty great deal. When I went to coops I got The Islander specially pizza with a thin crust, which was delicious! I also got their hot chicken wings, which were also great!
I chose the delivery option which was fast and super convenient for days when you don’t want to leave your house and doesn’t cost extra, besides tipping your driver. I would recommend coops for nights hanging out with friends watching a movie or watching a sporting event with friends. Coop’s is a super convenient option and also can be pretty cheap if you split the cost with some friends! Overall, I would rate Coop’s Pizzeria a 10/10!
