Welcome back! I’m Jacob Fallon, back with another food review! Today we will be taking a look at Candiles Tacos & Tequila. This place was mentioned to me by a few people, and it’s about time I tried it.
Now, being from the great state of Texas, I try to be very strict on my ratings of Tacos. Candiles has been open for about a year and a half. In that time, they have accumulated 4.4/5 stars with 100 reviews on Google Reviews. So, let’s wait no longer and get into this review!

Food Of The Day
Looking at the menu, it was like reading a book; there were a lot of items. I decided to go with the Street Tacos.
I got Steak Street Tacos, and it came with 5 small tacos, topped with diced white onions and chopped cilantro.
Now they looked basic, honestly, a little depressing, but I wasn’t gonna let that affect my judgement.
Since I had 5 tacos, I gave two to some of my buddies, also to get their opinions.
“It’s dry,” – Robert Sandoval
“It had good flavor but was really dry,” – Chance Newton
It was my turn to try this taco. After my first bite, it had so much potential, but it was very dry. Everything really tasted good, it was just dry, and that honestly destroyed the whole meal for me.
With that being said, 4.3/10 was my score for this food.
However, I will be coming here again to try one of the other menu items.
Summary
- Service: 10/10 – Didn’t wait too long to take my order or get my food
- Price: 3/10 – For 5 small street tacos, it cost me $18
- Food: 4.3/10 – It was dry
Overall, a 5.76/10, I will say I’m planning on going back and getting another item because I think this place is better than what I rated it.

When I order street tacos I always ask for some nopalitos (cactus) and the green creamy salsa. I’m from Texas as well and love good Mexican food. I think it also depends on the day you go. They do make their own corn tortillas, not sure about the flour.
