Kansas Wesleyan Hosts Successful Career Fair

Written by on April 4, 2025

On March 26, Kansas Wesleyan University (KWU) hosted its annual Career Fair, providing students with the opportunity to connect with a variety of organizations about potential job and internship opportunities. Among the organizations present were local employers such as USD305, the City of Salina, and the YMCA, all offering valuable insights into their hiring needs and the professional opportunities available within their organizations.

This year’s event saw an exciting new addition: a “Professional Headshot Station” provided by the KWU MARCOM department. This station allowed students to upgrade their LinkedIn profiles and personal resumes with high-quality, professional headshots, a key tool for students entering the competitive job market.

Students expressed enthusiasm about the event, with many highlighting the importance of networking and the chance to interact with local businesses. “It’s a great opportunity to connect with local organizations,” said one student, reflecting the overall sentiment. Many attendees were grateful for the event’s accessibility and the chance to expand their professional network.

The KWU Career Fair has become an integral part of the university’s commitment to supporting students as they transition from academics to professional careers, and this year’s event further solidified its role as a valuable resource for students looking to launch their careers.
