Homecoming Week 2025

Kansas Wesleyan University is getting ready for a fun-filled Homecoming Week 2025. The celebration runs from Thursday, October 23 to Sunday, October 26. Students, alumni, families, and friends are all invited to join the fun.


 

Thursday: Pep Rally and Dracula

Homecoming starts Thursday at 5 p.m. with a pep rally at Campbell Plaza in Downtown Salina. Later that night, enjoy the play Dracula at Fitzpatrick Auditorium. KWU students can also relax with a movie night on the lawn at 8:30 p.m.

 

Friday: Campus Life and Alumni Events

Friday is full of things to do. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Homecoming Headquarters will be open in the Student Activities Center. There will be art displays, campus tours, and a special Veterans Recognition event.

At 1 p.m., KWU students will present the 7x7x7 Lecture Series, where seven speakers each talk for seven minutes. Later in the day, visitors can enjoy basketball games, a book signing, and volleyball matches.

The night ends with another Dracula performance and an outdoor alumni social at The Library Sports Bar & Grill.

Saturday: Parade, Football, and Reunions

Saturday kicks off with the Hall of Fame Induction and Alumni Awards at 8 a.m. Next up is the Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m. Alumni can also join in flag football, baseball, and softball games.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Coyote Cookout will offer food and fun for everyone. At noon, alumni will gather for a group photo on the steps of Pioneer Hall. Music fans can attend a concert and reception in the afternoon.

The excitement builds toward the big football game at 5 p.m. as KWU takes on Sterling College. A second alumni social follows the game with live music and more memories.

Sunday: Worship and Sports Wrap-Up

Homecoming wraps up on Sunday with a worship service at 10:30 a.m. in Sams Chapel. At 1 p.m., KWU will show the Prairie Prophecy documentary. There will also be alumni basketball and soccer games throughout the afternoon. The final show of Dracula starts at 2 p.m.
