Two Seniors, One Final Project

After two college seniors’ academic and athletic careers come to an end, they put the finishing touches on one last final assignment. This project will help reflect their experiences as well as those of others: their capstone project. Seniors Chase Aurand and I, Magen Dow, are creating a video project that showcases their experiences, as well as 3 other seniors here at KWU. Here’s more about who is being interviewed:

Capstone Project

Chase Aurand is a senior on the baseball team from Moorpark, California, majoring in Communications and minoring in Business Communications
Magen Dow is a senior on the women’s golf team from Ponder, Texas, double-majoring in Communications and Public Relations
Ryann Warren is a senior on the women’s golf team from Garden City, Kansas, majoring in Biomedical Chemistry
Coulson Riggs is a graduate student on the baseball team from Piedmont, Oklahoma, in the Master’s program
Shanya Murape is a senior on the women’s flag football team from Toronto, Ontario, majoring in Fitness and Wellness

Those being interviewed will be asked questions about their time here at Kansas Wesleyan. They’ll answer questions on whether their time here at KWU has prepared them for the real world, if they’re ready to not wear their jersey again, what advice they would give their freshman self, and more.

Chase Aurand says the goal of this capstone is to:

“We’re trying to capture the KWU experience from different perspectives and show how we’ve grown over the years and changed with our experiences.”

All of the interviews have been completed, are currently in the beginning stages of the editing process, and are in the process of getting b-roll for each athlete. Stay tuned for the final product!
