Homecoming 2025 reached its peak at the football game’s halftime show during a rainy game. A large crowd gathered to watch Kansas Wesleyan University crown its new King and Queen. The celebration honored eight student leaders who earned a spot on the final court.

This year’s process began with 17 nominees from campus clubs and athletic teams. After a campus-wide vote narrowed the field, the official eight-person Homecoming Court took the field. Initially, the court walked out to loud applause, making the atmosphere electric.

The 2025 Court

Each court member represents strong campus leadership and involvement. The King Nominees were Luke Armstrong, Jesse Owens, Jack Hanson, and Ben Corman. Furthermore, the Queen Nominees included Deja Rubio, Ryann Warren, Shanya Murape, and Sarah Girard. These eight demonstrated exceptional citizenship at KWU.

The court was seen at the 2025 Homecoming Pep Rally in downtown Salina and at the halftime ceremony of the football game versus Sterling College.

The Crowning Moment

After the introduction of each member of the court, the moment to crown King and Queen arrived. Next, the KWU President and his wife crowned the new king and queen.
