Dining in Style
Welcome back! I’m Jacob Fallon with another food review! Today we were supposed to review Great Wall Chinese Restaurant here in Salina, but with scheduling conflicts, I ended up going to Daimaru.
So, the Great Wall will be next week! Anyways, I’m a big fan of Japanese Steakhouses, so let’s see what Daimaru brings to the table. I have only heard good things about this place, so let’s take a look at it!
I went here with my family on Valentine’s Day, and boy, was it packed. That was already a good sign. On Google Reviews, they had a 4.3/5 rating based on 2,000 reviews! Everything is just pointing in the right direction of this place. I’m so excited to try this place!

Food of the Day!
I had a whole lot of food. I had steak, chicken, veggies, fried rice, and noodles!
And everything was just amazing.
I got the steak medium rare, and boy, it was juicy and flavorful. I will say that when it comes to food like this, the sauce is really make or break, and the sauce made this meal.
The chicken was tender and, although a little dry, still solid.
The veggies weren’t bad either
The fried rice and noodles were the cherry on top, and overall, this place is amazing.
Now stepping away from the food, the environment and staff were amazing.
The chefs were great showmen. Said Michael Fallon
“The chef was probably the best we’ve ever had.” Said Andi Newton
Even the price wasn’t bad for the quality and amount of food you get.
We also told them it was our friend’s birthday, and that made the experience even better. (His birthday isn’t until August)
Overall, the food was 10/10, and I recommend it so much if you can find the time to come out. Try to go with a group of people because that’ll also make the experience 10 times better
Summary
- Service: 10/10, quick, friendly, patient
- Price: 7/10, not terribly priced, solid portion sizes
- Food: 10/10, standing ovation, new favorite place.
Overall, a 9/10 and back-to-back to back banger food reviews! Can we make it a third next week? Just a reminder, if you want to see these reviews earlier, make sure you follow my Instagram and TikTok. Also, if you haven’t seen our last review of Umami Bowl, make sure you check it out!
