What Is Marvel Rivals?

Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 objective shooter with a Marvel IP. This game has taken over the gaming industry with a concurrent player count of up to 330k, and an all time peak of 445k. Those a big numbers for a game that dropped in December. 

But why is Marvel Rivals so popular? What is making all these gamers flock to the game? Is it because it’s free? Is it because of the Marvel IP? Or is it simply because, its the hottest game on the market, and people don’t want FOMO.
