Preparing For Spring Graduation

Almost Done!
Seniors can smell the end of the finish line. After four, or even more, long years they finally get that degree. Even though some have it easy on the path to graduate there are certainly some requirements still in this last semester. Seniors’ have to make sure that they are going a 100% at that finish line. Don’t give up just yet!
Reflecting on the Years

We asked Chase Aurand who is a senior baseball player here on campus about his reflection.
“To be honest I’ve worked so hard through my college career that I’m just ready to be done.” Aurand who spent time at both Chico State (CA) and now here at Kansas Wesleyan University. We asked how he prepares to stay focus through this last semester. “Just to stay locked in with my schoolwork and baseball.” Being a student athlete is no joke, so it is very impressive what Aurand has done.

With a lot of the students here being athletes how hard is it been for these athletes complete their degree? We asked multiple baseball players but specifically one that stood out was Wil Yamka.
When asked this question he stated, “Yeah it’s been difficult I won’t lie… especially being an international student.” Wil is from Toronto Canada and came to the states back in 2023. “Not only did I have to deal with the education side of being a student athlete but also the culture changes as well.” Wil will be expecting to walk the stage coming this May.
Seniors are ready to graduate. They’ve put in the time. They’ve put in the effort, and this May they will be rewarded. Stay committed to your schoolwork and strive for greatness and YOU will be walking that stage one day as well.
