Goodbye to our Dance Seniors

The 2025-2026 school year is coming to an end for Kansas Wesleyan University. For the KWU dance team, four fantastic seniors are closing their Coyote Chapter.
Samantha Worlock, Elizabeth Jordan, Reese Kimmi, and Dahn Hanlon.
The Coyote dancers are a well-rounded bunch. Recognized for multiple years as having one of the highest team GPA’s.

Samantha Worlock

Samantha Worlock has been on the KWU dance team for all four years. Worlock is graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
She is from Minneapolis, KS, where she was a leader on her dance team.
Worlock wanted to continue her education and leaned towards KWU. Where the Coyote dance team has been happy to have her talents on hand.
Balancing, arguably one of the toughest majors. While maintaining a strong athletic career. She has been able to grow her personal life and relationship.
Samantha was known by KWU for the last three years as Samantha Terrill. In March, she was able to marry her significant other after getting to plan a dream wedding.
Worlock has worked at the Hilton Garden Inn while earning her degree. After graduation, she will become the assistant manager at the hotel. She hopes to move to her hometown, with her husband to grow together.
Dahn Hanlon

Senior Dahn Hanlon is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. Hanlon is from Norton, KS. She has been dancing since the age of 4. She continued dancing and cheering in high school.
KWU dance was thankful to be another step in Dahn’s dance journey. She joined the team three years ago, being a member of the Conference Championship team.
Dance has given me discipline and determination. Something that I will carry into the future for grad. school and career as a school counselor.
Hanlon has been a dual-sport athlete at KWU. When she came to KWU she was happy to continue her track and field career. She has been a long jumper and triple jumper. Along with some 4×100 appearances. Her 4×100, 2024 team broke the KWU school record.

She plans to attend Wichita State University in the Fall. Where she will be studying for a Master of Education in School Counseling.
Hanlon has been an extremely distinguished student at KWU.

Reese Kimmi

Described as a powerhouse of a student. Reese Kimmi is a double major graduating Magna Cum Laude. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice.
She graduated from Salina South High School, coming to KWU on an orchestra scholarship. During her time as a Yote, Kimmi has played in the stringed orchestra as violin section leader.
While playing with the KWU orchestra, Kimmi auditioned and made it into the Kansas Collegiate Orchestra ensemble. Playing alongside larger university members, under amazing staff direction.
Finding her passion for dance again during her freshman year with the Coyote dance team. Kimmi joined the competition team in her sophomore year. Finishing her second year competing in March. The 2025-2026 KWU dance competition team received second place in the KCAC Conference.
Academically, Kimmi has thrived at KWU. In the summer of 2025, Kimmi went to the Washington Center in Washington, D.C. She spent time with the Center for Faith, Identity, and Globalization. With this internship, she published a paper, “Faith, Politics, and Place: Comparing Religious Political Engagement Across Rural and Urban America”.
During the 2025-2026 school year, Reese continued her academic work. She created a survey on political extremism. Collecting data from universities across Kansas. She received over 203 responses. Her use of statistical analysis helped determine the significance of her work. Due to this excellent work, she earned the Donald Olsen Sociology Award.
In the fall, Kimmi will continue her education at the University of Kansas. She is going for a Master’s in Public Administration.
Elizabeth Jordan
KWU dance has only been blessed with Elizabeth Jordan for one year. Jordan came to KWU as a cheerleader. She opened her mind and heart to the Coyote dance team in the fall. Being a part of some beautiful halftimes.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. She is from Silver Lake, KS. For the spring semester, Jordan has been student teaching in Silver Lake Elementary School.

Jordan is an Alpha Chi Honors Society student. This honor is exclusive to the top 10% of students. She is also recognized as, Exemplarily Student Teaching Award.
Post graduation, Jordan plans to be a Substitute for Silver Lake Elementary School. After, she is hoping to move out of state.

The KWU class of 2026 is an outstanding group of students. These four student-athletes are a few among many. With numerous achievements and lessons, they will take with them in their future careers.
